Mark your calendar today for the third annual ASCO Quality Care Symposium, which will take place October 17-18 at the Boston Marriott Copley Place.
The ASCO Quality Care Symposium brings together leaders in the expanding fields of health services research and quality initiatives. The Symposium is a unique, comprehensive forum for disseminating information on the improvement of the quality of patient and survivor care through value-based decision making, enhanced research design and methodology, and the innovation of data infrastructure for quality evaluation/improvement.
Two new and exciting program features will be implemented for 2014
- Attend concurrent breakout sessions where hot topics will be discussed in small group settings
- Fulfill your ABIM requirements with Maintenance of Certification (MOC) credits
The abstract submitter, registration, and hotel reservations open in early May. Check back frequently for updates.
“The impetus for the Quality Care Symposium was we realized although the ASCO Annual Meeting has some sessions devoted to quality, there are a lot of sessions that compete for time and attention there. Also, many people involved in quality work don’t necessarily go to the ASCO Annual Meeting. I think the Quality Care Symposium is unique in bringing together groups such as providers, scientists, and administrators who don’t tend to go to the same professional meetings. In this way we can help break down silos and facilitate new collaborations.”
- Craig Earle, MD, Co-chair of the ASCO Quality Care Symposium Planning Committee
